Almighty Lord creator
God, 
Who made the world with glory shine,
And spread the earth with light of love,
O Lord, give me a light like thine.
O sun that rises ev’ry morn,
That from the Father’s hand was made,
Amazing is your makers power,
Who wrought the world with light arrayed.
O Lord the beauty of your work,
The splendor of each ray of light,
Makes color shine and beauty show,
The meaning of your glory bright.
O Lord we thank you for your Sun,
Which lights our world ev’ry hour
And when it sets in peace with you,
It shines in other lands with power

My inspiration from
my hymn came from the psalms. I saw how David and others praised the Lord for
his work. Also I had gone on a trip with my school and was inspired by God's
creation, so I wrote about it.
