One Step into Canaan

1. It is only a step into Canaan,
   Then why do you idly stand?
   You are waiting today on its borders,
   You are viewing the promised land.
   This land is abounding, O brother,
   With corn and with honey and wine;
   Cross over today and possess it,
   One step and it all shall be thine.

     This land of the corn and the wine;

2. It is only a step into Canaan,
   Its fullness of blessing seek;
   It is teeming with plenteous riches,
   And its title is offered free.
   This land that by promise was given
   To Abraham, faithful and true,
   His seed now by faith shall inherit�
   It waits o�er the Jordan for you.
3. In this Canaan of perfect salvation,
   Where dwell all the sanctified,
   Where the glory of God now is shining,
   You may ever in peace abide.
   Oh, enter this wonderful country,
   It means only loss to delay;
   No longer remain at its borders,
   Go over and take it today.
