When I am weak with suffering
And grief has seized my soul,
My gracious God becomes my peace;
His strength, his work, my whole.
The trials he sends that crush my heart
Remind me of my need
To
cling to him, my only hope,
And not my worthless deeds.
When all I find around is sin,
He lifts my eyes to see
The beauty ‘round me every day,
And gives his grace to me.
My great High King will guard me well
When pain and grief descend.
He will not let them conquer me;
His love will never end.
