O, Lord provide for me today
There is a famine here
I trust you to show me the way
With you I’ll never fear

In Zepharoth you must now be
This burden you won’t bear
A widow there will sustain thee
The prophet hastened there

I pray of thee a bit of bread
Elijah asked of her
You’ll always have oil he said
Of food you can be sure

The widow was willing to die
This prophet would be fed
She gave up all without a sigh
Though her son would be dead

Why would he do this for us
He gave his heavenly throne
Bliss he left to do what he must
That we might be His own
