We are hard pressed on all sides but not crushed;
We are perplexed, but we never give up;
We�re persecuted but not left by God;
We are struck down, but we�re never destroyed.
We have this treasure in jars made of clay,
That God�s great power and not ours be displayed.
Within our bodies Christ�s death do we show,
That Jesus� life in us now may be known.

We know we�ll be raised with Jesus one day;
Therefore, our trials do not cause dismay.
Though on the outside we�re wasting away,
Inwardly we are renewed day by day.
Our present troubles will soon pass away;
Eternal glory they�ll bring us some day.
We fix our eyes not on what we can see;
