To Find that Faint Grey Edge
To find that faint grey edge where sky meets sea,
We'll sail away together timelessly.
Forever it will rest too far away,
For never will we reach that place someday.
Its splendor lies within its mystery
And glorifies the One who made it be.
In this short life, no man can understand
The purposes which led his mighty hand
As perfectly He formed the straight divide
Where ebbing tides and wondrous heav'ns collide.
Although it seems an endless boundary;
No place on earth will last eternally,
And on that awful predetermined day,
All that which we can see will fade away.
