The Morning Sun in Flames Has Ris'n
The morning sun in flames has ris’n
And spread its light across the earth.
All creatures bask in Love’s warm rays
And thank their Maker for this birth.
Our God, Creator, and our King,
In thankfulness Thy praise we sing.
Its glory
reaches noon’s blue skies;
Its beauty shows its Maker’s pow’r.
Our God, our Lord who made all things
Gave us the sun and each small flow’r.
Our God, Creator, and our King,
In thankfulness Thy praise we sing.
But as night falls the sun shall ride
Its chariot down the western sky.
God’s night
creation shall appear:
The moon our dark to beautify.
Our God, Creator, and our King,
In thankfulness Thy praise we sing.
So now on earth we praise our God
And thank Him for the morning sun
Which rises, giving life to all
And finally rests when day is done.
