The Cedar
With flaming skin as dark as molten fire And strong, thick blacksmith arms extended tough, He stands erect to reach for
what is high’r, His stance confronts those who are brave enough. No movement and no sound, just peaceful calm that reigns when shelter and protection dwells.
When nature’s storms wish to destroy that balm, he stands steadfast and firm; though trouble swells. His greatness encompasses all who heeds
the comfort and the safety of his arms. The Cedar stands; a father form who bleeds for those confronted by rough life’s cruel harms.
We, though, have refuge in the safe embrace of Him who turns to us His kindly face.
