Our Righteous King, the One Most High
On whom for breath we all rely;
The shoot of Jesse, David’s son,
Our Rock, our Lord, Triumphant One.
With mercy Christ will judge the poor
But evil men his soul abhors;
The needy help; the wicked shun;
His justice shines like noonday sun.
He did His Father’s will on earth -
The painful death, most humble birth.
And left His throne and crown above
Because of sacrificial love.
His hand has many wonders wrought
