Miraculous Escape
When the Lord with his voice told His people to go
But the Pharaoh was hard and would only say “No”.
The ten plagues all
arose and brought grief on the land
And struck down the first children with the dark angel’s hand.
Do not cry to the Lord, he will fell every tear
The
Egyptians came fast but the Lord made them fear
By the bright light of day came a cloud, which held fast
In the moonlight a pillar of fire, no one passed.
In
one hand held a staff at the Lords all just will,
Ever wise one ready to make the sea become still
So the Lord’s mere workingmen would live into plan
A rash and fruitless attempt the enemy couldn’t span.
By the grace of the Lord the people recognize
That the common man can’t really be justified,
By the doings of his own earthy human deeds
It is the Holy Spirit who desperately feeds.
