Daniel's Sacrifice

Though taken captive as a youth,
Young Daniel felt no fear.
He put his faith in God alone,
And felt His presence near.

When cast into a lion’s den
For praying on his knee,
An angel shut the lion’s jaw,
God heard his fervent plea.

The Lord has shown His mercy true
To all who will obey.
The courage He displayed for us
He grants us when we pray.
