First, light, God made to fill the earth
Dividing day from night
For all was made because He spoke
The words, “Let there be light.”

He then brought water; it was good.
The plants and fruitful trees
Were made with beauty, care, and love.
Each one was made to please.

He formed the creatures on the earth
And in the sea and air.
Ordained and ruled their life long days
And numbered every hair.

Then man was made with greatest care;
>From dust to flesh we came.
Made in the likeness of our God
Our hearts for Him inflame.
