Breaking The Chains

How captive to my sin am I!
For freedom urgently I cry,
Yet all I find is slavery
And fear's relentless grip on me!

A greater being there must be
To guide and govern all we see;
Is Jesus Christ the mighty one,
The Sovereign Lord of earth and sun?

Would Jesus truly die for me?
The spotless Lamb upon the tree,
Accepting all my guilt and shame
To fin'lly break sin's heavy chain?

O Lord, what love You have for me,
As perfect as eternity!
My life and soul i lift to You
Exalting You for all You do.
