I See The Rain

I see the rain, ev'ry drop is racing;
In such a hurry, that the oceans might retain;
A thirst pain, ev'ry day I'm chasing;
I can but worry, will tomorrow be the same?

A friend today, is of worth attaining;
With one to marry, gain children, love and fame;
But some will say: "He left, not explaining;
You must be wary, lest you hold your home in shame"

And when I gaze, upon the night amazing;
O what a story, of how the world became;
The sky displays, so many suns ablazing;
But in their glory, so dim a light remains.

Then my Lord will say: "I am never changing,
Though life be scary, you need only call my Name,
No more delay, the final war is waging,
I will not tarry, you'll soon rest in my domain."

But O my Lord, You hold the mighty universe in Your hand.
And Your glory, we could for a moment, our eyes not withstand.
 
And why You would leave, reigning over the heavens high above.
To hang from a tree, is but only a taste of Your amazing love.
